    Malt extract is concentrated wort. Liquid malt extract (LME) is in a form of thick syrup, which finds usage in brewing, baking and other purposes. This is a consumer product, which is often sold in jars. LME can be dried for making dry malt extract (DME). The DME looks like sugar, as they take crystalline form.
